Today, we pit a pirate queen against a shield maiden, and see who comes out on top. Elizabeth Swan (or Turner) started her days as the rich daughter of nobility. However, eventually she was as much a pirate as her husband and friends were, being capable of deceit, deception, and some fancy sword work to boot thanks to a few lessons from her husband Will. Eowyn was also of nobility and was a shield maiden, too, which means while other girls received lessons in courtly manners, Eowyn was learning how to kill with a sword and defend herself with a shield. Both ladies are deadly with a blade, but who proves to be the better? Will Elizabeth show that pirates are duplicitous and clever enough to gain a victory, or will Eowyn show that training and tenacity are enough to allow her to beat any opponent (after all, she beat the Witch King, a feat no man was capable of). Who wins?
